Toys, toys, toys

Brooklyn's a pretty lucky girl, if you ask me. Not only is she surrounded by people who love her everywhere she goes, but she's also fortunate in the material things that she has to play with. When my niece was just a little bit younger, she would unwrap a gift and scream with excitement "A box! A box! I got a box!!" While there was of course, something in the box, she would've been pleased with just the box. Such a grateful little girl! Well, that's what we're experiencing with Brooklyn, especially now that she's mobile. She's interested in everything, especially the things that aren't intended to be toys! For example, here's a brand new toy, just opened today:

After watching me play with it for a while (it's really cool!), she crawled away to chew on the Xbox controller for a bit...

Then down the hall she ventured to the media tower, where she selected some DVD's to share her slobber with...

(sometimes her left leg doesn't cooperate just right, requiring her right leg to work extra hard! HI-larious!)

And of course, we can't leave out the plasticware that she LOVES to chew on...
And in the end, if it doesn't fit in the mouth, then what is its purpose?! Like all of the adorable shoes in her closet:

"Mom, what's the point of these stupid things? Get them off now or I'll eat them off!!"

She's growing up to be a barefoot, bunny-eared, head-banging gypsy!

Whatever floats her boat...and wears her out, turning her back into the sleeping princess that fills my heart with joy!
