Cutest giraffe in the hood

We strolled Brookside with the rest of the area code residents Saturday afternoon. The difference between us and the others: we were being led by the cutest giraffe in town!  Some bystanders mistook her for a cow or a zebra, but I decided they just need a refresher on their animals. There's no mistaking what she was...

She befriended a dog wearing a tutu nearby us as we waited for the BooHaHa parade to begin. And I realized Saturday that she communicates with animals! No joke! As we were unloading her to trick-or-treat at Great Grandma Helen's house, she heard a dog bark....then she let out a little bark! The dog barked again...and she did it again! I knew she loved animals, but I had no idea that she was actually communicating with them! Precious. (As long as it doesn't become her primary form of communication!)
After making some rounds Saturday afternoon, we came home to meet cousins Canon & Ella for some trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. Again, she went into her people-watching zone, while her Grandpa carried her from door to door. He even spoke for her: 'Trick or Treat, I'm giving all my candy to Grandpa', he said to the neighbors in a high pitched voice! She collected her fair share of candy, and hit the sack to dream about all the crazy people she saw that day. Can you imagine experiencing this silly holiday for the first time?! I wonder what was going on in that little head...
